A year ago I said I wanted to climb to the summit of the Civetta. Well, that desire still burns within me. I had a wonderful opportunity in the third week of July, but between one thing and another I could not go. It was organized output of the CAI and I was sorry not to be there a lot left. E 'for this reason that I decided to enroll in January CAI (marking the following calendar year) and in the meantime take a course in rock climbing.
fact last week I opened a new climbing harness on top of Mount Averau near Cortina (for instance, this here, just where there are clouds). By the way, is not a dizzy height (2647 meters), but it is always worth climbing to the summit of a mountain and touch the cross. Especially if there is a nice ferratina to do: first stretch of about twenty meters in the vertical, exposed on cliff ledge with a few hundred meters and the other partition wall of about ten meters. Short stuff short. Even after the strike because, in order to reach the summit, there is an easy path, nor so steep. And the view from up there was not too bad, considering the height: around, 360 degrees of peaks of the Dolomites, among the most beautiful and famous in the world. It begins with the great west wall of the Tofana Rozes, to switch to Lagazuoi (Small and Large), Tofane Middle and Inside the Crystal, the Group of Sorapis, Antelao, before moving to Pelmo Early Beaked Sonnenberg, Croda da Lago and slabs of Formin. Then you get to Owl, excellent as ever, and continuing right into the Queen of the Dolomites, the Marmolada. Besides, the mighty Sella, Sassolungo and returns near the Falzarego the Sasso di Stria. Impossible to describe in words, you see it in person. As for the photo below, it must be said that typically limits the quality bloggers, so you'll have to wait for us on Flickr, unfortunately, then, I could not bring along all the equipment, but only the wide angle and the remote: I hope they are enough to take some decent shots and giving the idea. It would have been better to have a stand: a 360 ° view of the summit was definitely the best.
In any case, this trip made me find the love for the mountains, not the mountain in a general sense - that is an innate love - but rather understood as the mountain rock formation. I want to see the tops of the mountains, touch the crosses and if there is leave a signature on the "Book of collection." I want to spit blood and getting the highest of the clouds and see the world from above.
