I found what to write. By now you know that I always update on that meeting facciamocon the forum, so this time I feel compelled to do so.
The appointment was for yesterday, Sunday, November 22, the Venice train station. Destination: Burano. As we know, there had already been to Burano at a mini-meeting in January (I did not want to fish out the link). This time we were more than 10 people (if "people" you can call 11 photographers ...) and despite the bad weather, it was a beautiful day in the sense that we had (at least I). Photos in the end, I made many, say less than 290 (actual 220, many are double), more than anything else I went to stay with friends and exchange gossip with four other "crazy".
Of the photos I took, I tried to focus on the details is time, and color contrasts there are the beautiful little island. I'm around I managed to catch even a couple of cats that had escaped me the last time. In any event, the 220 photos I think that if they save up to 10. The rest is stuff already seen a thousand times.
And here I take the opportunity to make some reflections on photography matured in recent months. First, I consider very important these days - in which photography has become a mass phenomenon -, l ' have developed their own style. Especially when you go to places seen and photographed by a multitude of people like Burano and Venice, having its own style, its own way of seeing reality, maybe risky shots definitely not common, well, this can help bring home some really funny pictures and not the usual "postcards" .
Obviously my thinking is completely debatable. As for style, well, we could talk for hours about this subject, were written flower books and spent a lot of words. For me, I think I've somehow found my own style. Or rather, I noticed that not all the are photos like many, many times, like yesterday, there are shots that currently attract my attention, but then I realize that was not what I had in mind. So begins to spin like a moron around the subject, constantly changing views: top, bottom, right, left, side. Until I find the right shot and shot. Many times it happens that, despite all the turns, there is no way for me to photograph the subject. And not because it is a problem of lenses of focal lengths or more. But just because, what is the way I see it, is not "photograph".
Now, again, on the concept of what "pictures" and what is not, you should open a parenthesis long. One could think that taking photographs is all that draws our attention, while others might say that the mere fact (that would become all photos). Others might say that everything is photographed to communicate a message, tell a story. And so on.
I think, but then again that is just my thought, which is photographed everything that reflects my style and, in agreement with this, tell me something . My intention, when I press the shutter button, capturing the moment is not perfect as it is. Nor tell a story with a single frame. This I think is very difficult and only the greatest photographers and may fail to do so. No, when I click I try to put the reality as seen through my eyes . And I think this is in line with what I said before the shots. Let me give an example. In Burano, as well as in Venice, there are many views that objectively are beautiful (I hope you agree with me). And I, when I see them, I say that these beautiful sights. " But not even put the eye in the viewfinder, because it is, indeed, a vision objectively beautiful. Then there may be the case with a view to objectively has nothing interesting: a little square closed, dark, with half-ruined houses, and other objective factors very photogenic. And in this context you can just see me run or walk on all fours with the head raised to heaven, or, again, leaning against a wall in a very uncomfortable and untenable position in an attempt to capture in a photograph a representation of my reality .
So, the concepts are a bit 'strange, I admit, but I do not know how to say it better, but I hope you both get the point. All this to say what? I believe that photography is an art very subjective. In my style, my style and my personality, I can very well say that a picture is "objectively better", but I do not say anything more than does not say if you look at a robot. Instead I can also say that I loved this photo because it actually told me something. Maybe the author does not even have imagined that this picture could provoke certain feelings. Understand? So you could say that subjectively photography is all that communicates emotions depending on your style, or in accordance with their personality . You could then
associate the concept of "photograph" the personality of the photographer . One could, of course. Do not do it just because it's late, I sleep and I have already written a long post, surely the longest of the year. And since you are no longer used, I also put in bold the most important things !
Obviously the picture will be on the page Burano Flickr. Here below here is the merry gang. Good night.
