exposure White Balance Aperture
One thing in photography is often talked about the white balance, but what?
First, I would say that we must have a premise, the colors change depending on the type of light that strikes an object, surprised? I hope not ... if we take a red apple and place it under lights of different colors to turn the apple will change color, but our brains will continue to process the image to see how to make it red because it is an information conventional and is known to us. Now, the brain is one thing, a digital sensor is different and he is not natural "lying" about the colors so sometimes it happens that an image that we call these colors wrong simply because we know that the sunlight color is different from that again perhaps with a lit conditions.
programmers have tried to make "intelligent" cameras munendole sensors that go to read the temperature of the light and thereby allowing the machine to change the colors under it. Sometimes, however, this does not work, what to do then?
Simple, we proceed to the manual calibration White allows it and if the machine is very simple, it takes a sheet of white paper, is placed under the light which will then hit the subject and so the car is part of the white tarerĂ exact type of light under available at the moment. The procedures for doing so are obviously different from machine to machine and I invite you to read the instruction manual.
One suggestion, if you shoot in jpg and the machine wrong white balance will be difficult to adjust the picture in a satisfactory manner, the only way to be sure is to shoot in RAW if your camera allows it. I will speak more of the raw in a speech devoted, in this you need to know that is a raw format that contains all the information captured by the sensor and allows for the white balance, to choose any light source so the colors to get "real" misinterpreted by the machine using special editing software usually supplied with the machine.
Here is a picture explaining how it can be unpacked, the white in a photo, left the correct side, right the wrong:
